CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: ART IN SCIENCE

Art in Science competition and exhibit to highlight beauty of science and engineering

Students, faculty and staff of the University of Delaware are invited to submit original, research-related artwork for the 2018 Art in Science competition and exhibit.

This annual event is aimed at highlighting exceptional research at UD, engaging and educating the local community on the impact of the research, and sparking interest in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) among students from local elementary and high schools.

Submissions of high-resolution images acquired from research activities, along with a short description of each image and its context, are due Sunday, March 4. Approximately 50 images will be chosen for printing and display.

The competition will culminate in an exhibit at the Blue Ball Barn in Alapocas Run State Park in Wilmington, Delaware, on May 4, 2018. Art from the competition will be available for purchase at the event.

The event is sponsored by the College of Engineering, the College of Arts and Sciences and the Department of Biomedical Engineering. All students, faculty and staff who participate in research at the University of Delaware are invited to participate.
